overview
This web app should allow users to record any significant quote that they read or hear, from real-life people or fictional characters, while conveniently organizing the content and context into helpful sections, pages, or views, to help further research, future reference, and novel connection-making.
purpose
The purpose of this project is to encourage people to read more and to read better, while also placing their focus on character traits and character analysis. And - notably - the basic principles of simplicity, consistency, and collaboration should be highly valued, promoted, and encouraged throughout.
components
The main unit of knowledge here is the quote. A quote said by or about a person or a character is referenced as evidence that the person or character might have either possessed or demonstrated a particular character trait of interest. And in addition to recording, organizing, and relating information, a creative component, through comparing and sharing, aims to help facilitate a deeper understanding of the user's reading material through a more interactive engagement.
